It was the decision to keep choosing ME.
Yesterday, I stepped onto a natural bikini bodybuilding stage and presented the work I’ve been putting in—the training, the discipline, the sacrifices, the consistency, and the mental strength it takes to keep showing up.
And at 59, that means even more to me.
Because somewhere along the way, we can start believing that this season of life should be about slowing down, settling in, or simply maintaining.
I want something different.
I want to keep challenging myself.
Keep investing in myself.
Keep discovering what this body and this mind are capable of.
Keep becoming.
Today wasn’t the end of the journey. It was a celebration of how far I’ve come—and a reminder that there’s still more ahead. My final stage of this season is September 26. 🔥
And maybe your “stage” looks nothing like mine.
Maybe it’s starting something you’ve been afraid to start.
Getting stronger.
Taking the trip.
Changing careers.
Setting a boundary.
Or simply deciding that you deserve some of the time, energy and love you’ve spent years giving everyone else.
Whatever it is, give yourself the gift of choosing YOU.
At 59, that’s one gift I plan to keep giving myself. ❤️

Some official stage shots from finals this past weekend.
The result wasn’t what I wanted with a 2nd place. However, my main goal wasn’t the placing. It was proving I can achieve the conditioning needed to be competitive and to be “hard to beat”. I accomplished those goals.
The data has been collected, a game plan is being put in place, and the next time I step on that stage, I will be much bigger and more competitive. Time to grow into a true light heavyweight bodybuilder 😤
I just want to get a special shout out to so many incredible people who helped me get here:

I truly cannot express how much this day meant to me. It was a goal I set for myself less than a year ago but one that has guided me everyday since. What you see on stage might look easy, just a simple routine and you’re done, but it’s not. You don’t see the countless hours of training, meal prep, posing, and planning it takes to build the physique that takes the stage.
Taking on this goal meant daily sacrifice, especially given I decided to start the last semester of my senior year of college. I knew it wasn’t the “perfect” time but the truth is there never is one. Life always has its requirements, but it’s how you work around them that determine your outcome.
My goal was truly to do MY best and to have fun - both of which I feel I did, so I can walk away feeling happy! Huge shoutout to my coach @josh.wolfe.official for holding me accountable throughout this journey and giving me the guidelines I needed to succeed.
Excited to see what the future holds :)
